People love photos. They love to take them, and they love to share them. Facebook is the largest photo-sharing site with over 2.5 billion photos uploaded each month. So it’s no surprise that brands, businesses, and nonprofits have discovered that photo-oriented campaigns are a great way to engage their fans.

Fotobabble lets users add a creative twist to photo-sharing: the easy addition of voice or sound. We’ve compiled some of our favorite examples of Fotobabble-powered “photo+ audio” Facebook campaigns. With Fotobabble’s Social Media Marketing Suite, these campaigns can also be shared beyond Facebook, across web and mobile, but that story will have to wait for the next post.

Musical Group: Backstreet Boys
Campaign:  Backstreet Boys Cruise 2011
Visit the fan page here.

What is it? Fans who joined the Backstreet Boys for their 2011 ocean cruise uploaded their photos to the Facebook, talk about the experiences, and share memories with the Backstreet Boys and their friends.

Why we love it: Come on, the Backstreet Boys? An ocean cruise in the Bahamas? Great photos with hundreds of views? What not to love.

Sports Team: The Sacramento Kings

What is it? Talk about grabbing your attention. When you come to the Sacramento Kings Facebook Fan Page you get a personal invitation to “like” it. And if you don’t, bad on you.

Why we love it: Funny and familiar to Sacramento Kings’ fans, the voice of King’s basketball grabs the attention of a casual visitor and attract him/her as a fan. You can’t help but listen and laugh. What a novel  use of voice!

Company: Dogster

The Dogster Bark Translator.  Visit the fan page, here.

What is it?  Just like it sounds: Dogster fans use the Fotobabble app for Facebook to create and share talking photos of their furry best friends by recording a funny “translation” of what they imagine their dog would say.

Why we love it: Dogster’s fans make this campaign work with their great sense of humor and love for their dogs!  So far more than seventy Dogster lovers have shared their “translations”.

Organization: Monterey County Weekly.
Campaign:
 Halloween Costume Contest

What is it?  MC Weekly fans showed off their costumes to win prizes using the Fotobabble App for Facebook.

Why we love it:  This contest gave fans an opportunity to show off their costumes, create talking Halloween greetings, and spread the word about the Monterey paper in a fun, compelling way.

Company: Our365

Contest:  “Tickle Me Baby”

What is it? Fans and friends of Our365 used the Fotobabble app on their Facebook page to create talking photos of their babies with a recording of their babies laughter.
