Facebook Testing a New Page Management Tool (Updated)

No Comments by - May 11th, 2011

We just got word that Facebook is testing a new Page management tool (below) – link here. At the time of the blog post, Facebook was still rolling this out to everyone (or just testing with a small subset of users). If you’re part of the subset you will see a link on your left navigation called “Pages”.

The new tool is a good step in the right direction in helping Page administrators get a high-level view of their Pages and quickly login as their Page. Administrators can see the total likes and the delta of their likes for each Page, as well as the total notifications and weekly active users.

I can see Facebook iterating on this app to provide admins even more tools, but for now, this is a great foundation to build off of.

What are your thoughts on the new app?

Update: Facebook announces the new “overview page” on their Facebook Pages…page (so meta) – http://www.facebook.com/notes/facebook-pages/feature-launch-managing-pages-in-one-overview/10150176499899822
